The Central Square team is seeking great Minnesota Makers for our monthly markets. We are now accepting applications for our upcoming market on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10AM–2PM at Central Square. Our Makers Market is a juried event. This means vendors are selected by our creative team who are looking for unique goods that are handcrafted in Minnesota. To apply, please review our guidelines below and submit your online application.
The safety of our community is extremely important to us, and we will continue to closely monitor the situation of COVID-19 and follow all state and county regulations for hosting outdoor events. Staff and volunteers will be on-site during the market to ensure everyone’s safety.
Jewelry, men’s and women’s accessories, apothecary, apparel, plants, home goods, artwork. Well-designed handmade goods that honor the ideals of craftsmanship. Leather, metal, glass, clay, textiles and wood. We especially love products that are sustainably made – either reclaimed, recycled, upcycled, or produced with ethically sourced materials.
Independent Minnesota makers who believe in sourcing US materials where possible and the value to our society of “buying locally”. We love makers who are great storytellers and passionate about their work! The Maker needs to have had a substantial part in transforming raw materials into a functional piece of art. We would not, for instance, be interested in a Maker who purchases components from overseas and then has minimal effort in assembling the components.
If you think you’re a fit, please introduce yourself!
All applications are approved on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will be notified via email when your application has been approved with an invoice for your space.
• Applications are juried based on the following factors: uniqueness of product, locally sourced materials, and merchandising displays. Product categories will be carefully considered to avoid any overlapping in assortments.
• Your goods must be 100% handmade by you and/or your employees. Locally sourced, small-run production will be accepted for certain products (please indicate this on your application). Vintage and antique dealers are welcome to apply.
• To create a beautiful market, products should be merchandised in a unique and minimal way.
• Special fixtures and logo signs will need to be approved prior to the event.
• Vendors are required to arrive promptly for setup time. Setup times and other communication will be sent via email leading up to the market.
• By submitting your application, you are agreeing to these guidelines and the terms set forth in this application. Once your application is approved, we will email you space availability and pricing. Further communication will be given via email throughout the upcoming months and leading up to the market. Registration fee of $20 is non-refundable.
If your application is approved, there will be a $20 registration fee, which you will receive an email invoice for.
We will provide feedback on your application as soon as we can. Please be patient as we may receive a large number of applicants.
