Art in the Square

Art in the Square is a new association/organization within Central Square that is devoted completely to promoting arts of all kinds in our community. We have many great ideas to do this, but would love the help and enthusiasm of everyone to accomplish our goals.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to be a catalyst with vision, who can create excitement and energy around arts centered programs, and encourage others to support the organization.

Classes

Some classes we’ve already held are: pastel drawing, oil painting techniques, and t-shirt necklace making. Other class ideas we have are: cooking, wood making/carving, basket making, makeup artist, book making, animal portraiture, photography, fishing lures/flies making, jewelry making, computer/internet/Facebook, learning how to host inexpensive children’s birthday parties, felting, knitting, quilting, a summer concert series, and more. When getting creative, the possibilities are endless!

Give to the Max Day • giveMN.org

logoFunding to hold all of these wonderful things will come from class fees and donations. Our major effort will be Give to the Max on November 15th this year through giveMN.org. Except for their slight processing fee, 100% of the net proceeds will go to Art in the Square. GiveMN.org is giving away many awards and a chance to win $1000 each hour. Please go to our {link} on their site and donate to help promote this huge effort!

New Rooms!

Classes are currently being held in Central Square’s office. There are a couple of rooms in the historic school building that are becoming available that would be perfect to hold the above classes. However, we can only do this through your support. Feel free to stop by and see what’s happening.

Art in the Square meets every two weeks on Tuesdays at 3:30 in the Central Square office. You are welcome to visit or join!
